Amnon Neubach – TASE Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) Board of Directors today (20/3/2014) approved unanimously the search committee’s recommendation to appoint Mr. Amnon Neubach as TASE’s new chairman of the board.
 
Mr. Neubach (married + 2) has a M.A. in Economics and in past years has served the boards and as chairman of the board of several public and industrial companies, including, among others: Direct Insurance, Leumicard, Delta, Bezeq, and Pelephone.  In these positions Neubach dealt with formulating and implementing major changes in business strategy. He served as Israel’s economic attaché in Washington for five years and was responsible for securing guarantees for the absorption of immigrants from the former Soviet Union. In addition, Neubach served as economic consultant to former Prime Minister, Shimon Peres during the 1980s and was involved in implementing the 1985 economic stability program. Prior to this period he was Deputy Director of the Budget at the Ministry of Finance and served in other positions in the Budget Department. Amnon Neubach is a member of the board of directors of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce.
 
The TASE Board of Directors wished Mr. Neubach success in his new position and thanked the search committee, particularly its chairperson, Adv. Bracha Litvak, for a, professional and comprehensive process of candidate search and selection. Litvak thanked the members of the committee and stated that Neubach was selected unanimously after a long and exacting process, based on criteria approved by the TASE Board. "Mr. Neubach brings rich and diverse experience in business management to the position. He possesses a broad macroeconomic outlook and is experienced in implementing significant changes in complex organizations".
 
Mr. Neubach remarked that he thanks the committee and the board of directors for their confidence. “I am convinced that together we will address the challenges facing Israel’s capital market at this time and will usher TASE into a new era.”
