BlueStar announced the semi-annual update of the TA-BIGITechTM Index, which includes the Israeli or Israeli-linked high-tech companies traded in Tel Aviv and/or abroad.
Following the update, which will take effect today, Monday, December 21, 2015, the Index will include 71 companies with an aggregate market cap of approx. $76 billion. 39 companies are traded only abroad (in the U.S., London and Singapore), 27 companies are dual-listed and five companies are traded only in Tel Aviv.
The semiannual update added 7 companies to the TA-BIGITechTM Index: Hilan & Maytronics- traded only in Tel Aviv; the dual company Cyren; and Chiasma, Radcom, Mediwound & Endochoice -traded only in U.S.
One company was deleted in the update - MacroCure- traded only in the U.S.
TA-BIGITechTM is the first index to include Israeli high-tech companies that are traded on several markets. It can serve as the underlying benchmark for additional index funds, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and Exchange-Traded Notes (ETNs) issued in Israel and abroad.
