On February 25, 2016, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) introduced five new stock options: Opko, Frutarom, Elbit Systems, Azrieli Group and Delek Drilling LP.
This is the second of three groups of new stock options to start trading during the first quarter of 2016. Last month TASE launched the first group, which consisted of: First International Bank, Nice Systems, Delek Group, Isramco Negev 2 LP and the Israel Corporation.

According to the decision of TASE's board of directors, the third group of stock options will be launched next month, on March 23rd. Following the addition of this group, option trading will be available for all stocks listed on the TA-25 Index.

Stock option trading was first introduced in 2009. At present, 14 stock options are listed on TASE. The decision to launch the new options is intended to diversify the options listed on TASE. Among other things, these options will facilitate exposure through derivatives for stocks of sectors on which there are currently no options, and will also enable the execution of new investment strategies.
