Representatives of 8 startup companies participated in TASE's opening Bell Ceremony. The finalists participated in the ceremony to mark their qualifying into the finals of THE PITCH competition, which will be held at the JOURNEY convention next Wednesday. The local companies participating in the finals will compete for a ticket to the Road Show in the US, as well as for a ticket to the international IBM Smartcamp competition.

Noam Canetti, a senior partner at EY Israel: "We are holding this competition for the fifth year now. In the four previous years the companies that qualified to the finals raised $130 million. This year, 200 companies participated in the competition, of which 25 reached the semifinal and 8 qualified to the finals. These companies reflect the industry’s choice and the direction the market will be taking in the forthcoming years."

Igal Bareket, TASE Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer: "The significant changes made at TASE over the past two years, including the R&D Law, the Analysis Project and the close marketing guidance, have made TASE attractive to companies on their journey from the garage to the international markets. I am inviting every high-tech company, whether small or large, to meet us and understand how we can assist with financing solutions."
The competition finalists deal in a broad range of fields such as artificial intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, and Computer vision, security, smart energy, eCommerce, multirotors, virtual reality, insurance, production processes in factories, and building construction.
