The management of global accelerator
MassChallenge took part in the Opening Bell Ceremony at TASE, celebrating the
launch of Women Founders' Network, a holistic program designed to promote women
entrepreneurs. The ceremony was also attended by entrepreneurs from the Israeli
Hi-Tech industry.
MassChallenge CEO, Israel Ganot: "Over the past seven years, approximately
38% of the stratups that were established by global MassChallenge were
women-founded.
These strarups raised to this day $379 million.
A year ago, global accelerator MassChallenge
opened its offices in Israel, and is now forming a unique professional network,
which includes mentors and investors from Israel and abroad designed to promote
women entrepreneurs."
Adi Barkan, Senior Vice President and Head of
TASE Clearing House: "This is
an opportunity to also congratulate MassChallenge on being chosen by technology
magazine TechCrunch as the leading seed investor in the world for women-led
startups between 2010 - 2015.
MassChallenge was founded on the idea that
anyone and anywhere can become the most revolutionary entrepreneur in the
world. The first MassChallenge class in Israel consists of male and female
entrepreneurs from all sectors – Arabs, religious, women and international
entrepreneurs - all under one roof, becoming friends and creating business and
social connections. TASE is proud to host this morning the startup
entrepreneurs, who have come here and who we hope will grow and flourish. We
hope that one day they will even come and grow through the Tel Aviv Stock
Exchange so they will power the growth engine of the Israeli economy for the
benefit of the Israel investors.
