Dorit Salinger, Managing Director of the Capital Markets, Insurance and Savings Authority, and Ittai Ben-Zeev, CEO of TASE, announced a hackathon that is the first of its kind: led by a financial regulator and aiming to promote digitalization and technological innovation in the fields of pension and insurance.

Winners will be awarded prizes worth thousands of shekels.

The hackathon will take place on November 6 and 7, 2017, in the TASE Conference Center.

The project’s goal is to help Israeli entrepreneurs understand the challenges facing the pension and insurance sectors, and to create meaningful connections between startup companies and the industry. By doing so, the project aims to promote solutions that will help the savers and the insured, and improve the organizations’ operational efficacy. The project is expected to form a basis for further cooperative projects between hi-tech entrepreneurs and the industry, ultimately engendering new products for the future of pensions and insurance.

Industry key figures will assist and share knowledge with entrepreneurs to insure a fruitful process The competitors will face challenges that have been carefully chosen by teams of experts from the Capital Market, Insurance, and Savings Authority, as well as TASE, and the pension and insurance industry. These challenges contain great potential for promoting innovation, for creating new tools and products in the fields of insurance and savings, and for the consumer’s wellbeing
