Trading during the final week of November ended higher for all leading TASE indices.
 
 
                                      
TA-25
The TA-25 index increased 1.6% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 13.3%.
 
 
TA-100
The TA-100 index increased 2.0% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 11.4%.
 
 
TA-Insurance
The TA-Insurance index stood out, jumping 8.2% over the week and bringing returns since the beginning of 2012 to 12.2%.
 
 
 
 
 
Government Bonds
The Government of Israel floated US $470 million bonds on the local market this past week, bringing the year-to-date total of government bond issues to US $20.2 billion.
 
Corporate Bonds
The business sector raised US$ 715 million in bond offerings in November and US$ 8.9 billion since the beginning of the year. The Israel Electric Company stood out, raising US $510 million this month and U.S. $1.9 billion since the beginning of the year.
BOI Interest Rates
The Bank of Israel left interest rates for December 2012 unchanged at 2.0%.
 
Unemployment
The Central Bureau of Statistics released October employment figures indicating that unemployment increased to 7%, as opposed to 6.9% in September and 6.8% in August.
