Trading on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) during the fourth week of December was marked by declines in all leading indices.
 
 
                                      
TA-25
The TA-25 index decreased 3.0% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 9.1%.
 
TA-100
The TA-100 index decreased 2.7% over the week, bringing year-to-date increase to 7.1%.
 
Government Bonds
The Government did not float bonds on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange this week. In total the government raised US$21.3 billion in 2012 as opposed to US $18 billion in 2011.
 
Corporate Bonds
The business sector raised US $420 million in corporate bond offerings. Most of this sum was raised by two real estate companies and two banks. Since the beginning of the year, the business sector has raised US $10.2 debt capital from the public.  
BOI Interest Rates
The Bank of Israel lowered interest rates by 0.25% to 1.75%, starting in January 2013. This 0.25% lowering of the interest is the fourth this year and the current 1.75% rate is lowest since October 2010.
