Weekly Review: 9 - 13 September 2012 BATM Advanced Communications Dual Lists on TASEIsrael Electric Company Raises US $374 million in Bonds Trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) during the second week of September ended in price gains for most leading indices.

• The TA-25 index gained 1.8% over the week, bringing year-to-date returns to 4.4%.

• The TA-100 index was up 2.3% over the week, up 3.4% since the beginning of the year.

• The TA Banks and TA Real Estate-15 indices increased 8.3% and 4.9% respectively, while the TA BlueTech-50 lost 0.1%. Year-to-date, the TA BlueTech-50 has increased 26.8%, while the TA Real Estate-15 and TA Banks indices declined 8% and 3.1% respectively.

• BATM Advanced Communications, whose shares trade on the London Stock Exchange Main Market (ticker: BVC), announced that its shares will trade on TASE as well, acoing the dual listing law, starting Wednesday, 19.9.2012. It is anticipated that the company’s shares will join the BlueTech-50, TA-Technology and TA MidCap 50 indices, starting next month.

• The Israel Electric Company raised US $374 million through the expansion of two government-guaranteed bond series in a private placement to institutional investors. This is pursuant to the US $740 million offering last July. Since the beginning of the year, Israel’s business sector raised a total of US $7.7 billion debt capital, as opposed to US $11.4 billion in the entire 2011 year.

• The Government of Israel floated US $530 million bonds on the local market this past week, bringing the year-to-date total of government bond issues to US $16 billion, as opposed to US $18 billion in the entire 2011 year.

• The NIS/US dollar exchange rate on 13 September came to 3.966, depreciating 0.8% against the NIS over the week. Since the beginning of the year, the dollar has appreciated 3.8% against the NIS.

• The NIS/Euro exchange rate on 13 September came to 5.1188, increasing 1.0% over the previous week. Since the beginning of the year, the Euro has appreciated 3.7% against the NIS.
