Trading on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) during the fourth week of 2013 was marked by an active primary market for debt securities. TASE's leading share price indices closed the week in mixed trading.
 
 
                                      
TA-25
The TA-25 index decreased 0.9% over the week, bringing increase since the beginning of January to 0.9%.
 
TA-100
The TA-100 index decreased 0.6% over the week,
Bringing increase since the beginning of January to 1.4%.
 
 
 
Government Bonds
The Government of Israel floated US $0.4 billion bonds on the local market this past week bringing the month-to-date total of government bond issues to US $1.2 billion.
 
Corporate
Bonds
Six companies raised US $0.7 billion in public bond offerings. The bond offering of the Mizrahi Tefahot Bank of US $0.4 billion stood out in scope.
 
Since the beginning of the month, the business sector has raised US $1.5 billion debt capital.
Composite State-of-the-Economy Index
Figures released by the Bank of Israel show that the composite state-of-the-economy index increased 0.1% in December 2012.
This increase indicates that the development of the Israeli economy continued at a steady pace in the closing months of 2012, albeit at a pace slower than that in the opening of the 2012 year.
