Navigating the TASE Website

• Market Data
  Data from the trading day and its end for all products traded on TASE: stocks, government and corporate bonds, convertible securities, ETFs and the derivatives market. Clicking on a product name in the market data tables leads to a product page that includes main product data, charts, historical data, statistics, corporate actions and more.
• Statistics
  Daily, weekly, monthly and annual reviews prepared by the Research Unit, trading and statistical data in various cross-sections, short sales and more.
• Education
  TASE for beginners, information about the different securities traded on TASE, indices, derivatives market and frequently asked questions
• Listings
  Information about listing securities on TASE. This menu also includes explanations about dual listings and sector classification.
• Trading System
  Explanations about the trading method and phases, trading lists, as well as TASE trading and vacation schedules.
• About TASE
  Information about the TASE, its history and its activity – organizational structure, TASE members, rules and regulations,   trading and vacation schedules, as well as information about Israeli capital market legislation.  This menu also includes TASE news, information about the Conference Center, contact information and directions for reaching the building.

There are several ways to access the market data of products traded on the TASE:

1. Search for trading and content data - a search field located in the upper right corner of all pages of the site.
2. Search for Securities, Companies and Indices - a search field found on the site's home page, in the Market Data area.
   To locate the data requested using these two search fields, start typing the name or number of the security, company or index. The system will automatically complete and offer names of securities, companies, indexes, etc. matching the typed letters. Clicking on the name of a product will lead to the market data, company details or index data page.
3. Advanced data search - This search can be accessed from the “Search for trading and content data" field.

The Advanced Search page enables a detailed search of the trading data for all the products traded on the TASE alongside a text search with various options.

Advanced Data Search
In this area you can view all the securities included in a particular cross-section (for example: all stocks or shares in a particular sector) or search for a specific security or index.

• To search for all securities of a certain type – select the type of product (security, index, etc.) and click on the “Search” button.
• To search for all securities that belong to a specific sector or index for one of the product types – select the product type and its secondary classification.
• To search for a specific security – select the product type and its secondary classification and then select the desired product in the third field (“Choose Security from List”).

Advanced Text Search
In this section you can search for texts in the website according the following characteristics:

• Exact phrase
• A phrase including at least one of the words
• File type
• Language
• Categories
• Update time

The website frame is comprised of three fixed sections:

The center section of each page displays various pages prompted by navigating or searching the website.

The TASE website home page includes the following areas:

•  TASE Indices / Most Active
• TASE Indices - changes in the main TASE indices during and at the end of the trading day. Selecting an index and clicking the blue button "Index Page" leads to the requested index page.
•  Most Active - Significant fluctuations in the shares of the TA-125 index and a link to a full daily review on the TASE website.
  
• Corporate Actions
  Six most recent corporate action announcements from the Maya system In addition, it is possible to reach the full list of Corporate Actions announcements on Maya by clicking on “More…>”.
  
• TASE News
  In this area you can keep up to date with everything new at the TASE - trade openings, special events, official announcements, including TASE announcements, board of directors’ decisions, and more.
  
• Market Data
  This area includes the following three components:
• Search for Securities, Companies and Indices
• TA-35 index data including:
•  Main data – last rate, change, turnover and index data chart
• Additional data – base, open, high, low, yields and useful links to data on the index page.
• Additional Market Data – useful links to securities market data, indices, derivatives and more.
  
• Statistics
  Links to statistical data – daily, weekly, monthly and annual reviews as well as data about trading statistics, short sales, exchange rates and the derivatives market.

The data ticker is displayed at the bottom of the screen and has two display modes:

• Regular - displayed by default and contains the main TASE security index data. Clicking on the name of the index will lead to a detailed information page for that index.
• Expanded - can be reached by pressing the "Expand" command on the right edge of the ticker bar. In this situation it is possible to view the data of other indices and their turnover, as well as trading data of TA-35 shares.

Did you know?
The term "ticker" originally referred to a teleprinter used by stock exchanges to automatically report to brokers on rates and stock transactions, by printing on paper. The term “ticker” was coined because of the noise of the machines, and the first ticker was developed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1867. Until then messengers or mail were used.

Trading is conducted on TASE Sunday: 09:25-15:50 and Monday through Thursday: 09:25-17:25 Israel time. Vacation days change from year to year.

During the trading day, TASE website publishes indices and trading data of all the products traded on the TASE: stocks, government and corporate bonds, convertibles, ETFs and the derivatives market.
The indices are published on-line while trading data on securities - at a 20 minutes' delay, according to the accepted practice of financial sites around the world.

Use of data
The use of data is solely for personal uses as stipulated in the website "Terms of Use" agreement. As stated in the Terms of Use agreement, prior written TASE authorization is required for further dissemination of this data. For this purpose, contact  the IT Department at dubi@tase.co.il.

The foreign currency exchange rates displayed on the TASE website are the most current published by the Bank of Israel.

To access historical foreign currency prices, go to the Bank of Israel website at: www.bankisrael.gov.il.

• "TASE-traded companies" pages contain basic information about a specific company, market data on its securities, the indices in which the security  is included, graphs and historical data, turnover statistics and click through referrals to financial statements and corporate disclosures from the MAYA (online corporate announcements) website (Hebrew only) and the Corporate Actions database (English).
• "Index pages" contain key information regarding a given index, a description of the index and its constituent securities, additional TASE-traded products for which the index is an underlying product, graphs, historical data and the latest disclosures filed by constituent companies from the MAYA website (Hebrew only).
• "Product description pages" are defined for all TASE products, including: Israel government bonds, index linked notes, options and futures and mutual funds.

• Historical data can be downloaded from the TASE website (explanation follows) separately for each security, from the year 2000 onwards, for free. This applies solely to securities which are currently TASE-traded.
• Derivatives Historical Data
• Information regarding delisted securities
• To obtain historical data for the period preceding 2000, or for securities not currently traded or for cross-sectional data, please contact TASE data vendors.
• Students – pre-2000 historical data can be found in the libraries associated with the faculties of business administration and economics.

• In the top section of the TASE website – one can conduct a search on any TASE-traded security (after typing the first few letters, a list completing the name will appear automatically).
• On the results page, click on the name of the security
• This will lead to the company page
• Clicking on the "historical prices" tab on the company page leads to the screen  which enables the presentation of historical data according to the following:

• Historical prices – prices, trading volume and end-of-day data from 2000 to present;
• Intraday price data – transaction data during the last trading day
• Off-exchange transactions
• Miscellaneous queries:
• Trading halts for a period
• High/low prices for  a period
• Average price for a period
• To download the desired historical data, select:
• Period of time
• Frequency of data
• Type of data
• Press the "Display Data" button
• A data table will appear at the bottom of the screen
• To download the data to your computer, click on the "Export Table Data" and save the file on your computer in one of the following formats:
• Excel 2003
• CSV
• TSV
  

• In order to view a list of a given company's principal shareholders one must access the company page.
• In the company page, select the "Profile" tab.
• The pie chart gives the holdings of principal shareholders, institutional investors and the public (free float). Under the pie chart there is a click through link to a list of principal shareholders ("Interested Parties"), which appears in Hebrew and/or English on the language in which the holdings are reported, and details regarding their holdings in absolute, relative and NIS terms.

• One can access a list of all (of a given company's securities (including non-listed securities) through its company page.
• On the company page, click the "Profile" tab.
• Click through the "List of Securities" to receive a table summarizing the company's securities.

You can get future or historical expiration data as follows:

1. Go to the market data page for all derivatives - Site menu > Market data > Derivatives market.
2. Select a tab that matches the requested base asset.

For example, in order to get expiration data for options on the dollar rate:

1. Select the tab “Dollar" under “FX Derivatives".
2. Once the derivates data page is displayed, select the “Exercise Dates" tab.
3. Once the information is displayed, select “Future" or “Historical".

• "Select Time Period" (pre-defined periods or user-defined range of dates)
• "Select Data Frequency"
• "Select Display Type"
• "Select Linkage"
• After making selections, click on "Update Chart". Comparison security/index graphs can be added in order to analyze comparative performance by selecting the relevant security or index and clicking "Display". The chart will be updated with data selected.

• Market-to-book value
• Price/Earnings ratio
• Equity/Asset ratio
• Return on Equity

• In the search box at the top of the page start typing the company name and select the icon "company" next to the completed name.

• Search for types of securities (including to searches according to industry or issuer):
• Indices

• Mutual funds

In addition, one can conduct a cross-sectional "advanced search" according to various criteria (type of security, indices/industries, companies, etc.).

1. TASE Home page > “TASE Indices” area contains links to leading TASE index pages. To access an index page, select the required index and click on the blue button “Index Page” that is displayed above the index data chart.
2. Site menu > Market Data > Indices
   You can view the complete index list by selecting the main category Indices, or view lists according to index categories such as Market Cap. Indices, Sector Indices, Tel-Bond Indices, etc. To view the requested index page, select the index from the list and click on it.
3. TASE Home page > Additional Market Data > TASE Indices
   Clicking on the “TASE Indices” button leads to a complete list of all TASE indices. Select the desired index from the list and click on it to go to its index page. It is also possible to filter the list by time period or index category. In addition, the table can be sorted by index name, category, code, last rate and change.
4. Footer > Trading and Data > Indices
   Clicking on “Indices” leads to a complete list of all TASE indices. For an explanation on how to use this list see the previous item.
5. Search trading and content data

 To view an index’s components:
1. Go to an index page and click on the orange button “More about [index name] +” on the upper right-hand side of the page:
2. In the displayed menu, select “Index Components”.

In a company's page under “More about [company name]” >"Indices", you can view a table that summarizes all the indices that include the Company's securities, as well as a table of the Company's securities data for floating-point indices.

To reach a Company Page from any page on the site:

1.  Type the name of the desired company in the search window located at the top right of the screen. The system automatically completes the name according to the information on the site.
2. After locating the desired company, click on the "Company" button to the right of the company name.
   The Company "Profile "page opens.

Trading turnovers of the main indices on the TASE are available under Market Data > Daily Review. On this screen you can get details about the end of the current trading day, the end of the previous trading day or another date.

Additional historical data for indices can be found under the index pages of the site in the "Historical Data” tab:

The TASE website enables users to view monthly statistics for TASE-traded securities and by various cross-sectional categories, such as index or industry.

The list of TASE companies can found at: Site menu > Market Data > More Information > TASE Companies.

The list can be sorted by company name or by sector.

To view OTC transactions go to: site menu > Market Data > Daily Review > OTC Transactions

The resulting data table shows off-exchange transactions as of the end of the previous trading day. Transaction data for historical dates can also be viewed by selecting the date requested in the filter element.

Short sale is the sale of a security that is not owned by the seller. For this purpose, the seller must borrow from another party the securities intended for sale, prior to the short sale. Short sales contribute to enhancing trade and improving liquidity in the market.

On the TASE, stocks, ETFs, bonds and Treasury bills (Makam) can be sold short. A short sale is a "reverse order" investment in which the sale precedes the purchase. In a short sale the investor earns when the security price goes down, and loses when the price rises.

The TASE website presents data on weekly short sale balance.

• Historical market data for delisted securities
  The search includes securities that were traded on July 2006 or started trading afterwards - and since delisted from trading.
  
• To the screen that contains a list of ETFs that changed their ISIN in recent years, and a link to the daily historical data of those ETFs under previous ISIN.
  
• Regulatory filings of delisted companies – MAYA website – maya.tase.co.il.
  A list of corporate filings is available on the TASE corporate announcement website, MAYA (Hebrew interface –  content of announcements of dual listings in English)

• Under Tables 1, 4, 6 – statistical data tables for relevant time periods, which include inter alia data for securities no longer listed on TASE (however search in these tables will render results solely for currently traded securities.
  
• Under Tables 5, 8, 8A – includes information regarding securities for which trade was discontinued during the relevant period.

The personal portfolio is an area on the TASE website that can be customized. This area allows a view of market data on securities and performance of indices and mutual funds at the user's choice.

The use of the personal portfolio and the TASE website is subject to the terms of use of the site.

Forgot password?

• In the login screen, click the "Reset Password" button.
• In the "Remind Password" page that opens, enter the user name and the e-mail that you used when registering to the site.
• After clicking the "Finish" button, an e-mail will be sent to you with a new password to be used for signing in.
  It is recommended that you change the password to a personal password when you log back in to your personal portfolio.

How do I change my password?

• Enter your personal portfolio with your current username and password.
• Press the “Update Details” button.
• In the screen that opens, click the "Change Password" button. In the screen that opens:
• Type in your current password
• In the next line type in the new password
• In the third line, re-enter the new password for confirmation
• Once all the details have been completed, click the "Save" button.

• Enter your personal portfolio.
• Press the “Update Details” button.
• Update the relevant details in the screen that is displayed.
• Click “Finish” to confirm.

• Click the "Update Details" button.
• On the screen that opens, click on "Change Password" button.
• On the screen that opens, key in the current password and on the following line the new password. Validate the new password and click "Save".

How do I add a security to my personal portfolio?
All over the site, in the data tables for securities and product pages, a folder icon with the "+" symbol appears. By clicking this icon, the security will be added to your personal portfolio, and you will be automatically transferred to your personal portfolio.

How do I remove a security from my personal portfolio?
Enter your personal portfolio.  You will see a list of all securities in your portfolio on the screen. Select the security you wish to remove and click on the folder icon with the “-“ symbol.

The personal ticker is a ticker tape tailored to data in the current "My TASE" personal portfolio. That is to say, the ticker at the top of the page presents market data on the leading TASE indices together with data on the shares selected for the "My TASE" portfolio. The presentation does not include derivatives, mutual funds or indices calculated once-a-day at the end of the trading day.
To select how indices are displayed on the Personal Ticker:

• Clock on the pencil icon on the ticker or on the "Personal Ticker" tab.
• Clicking through brings up a screen on which one can select whether the standard key indices together + TA-25 shares or alternatively the shares and indices included in the My TASE personal portfolio will be displayed.

"Ex" coefficient
The ex coefficient is the fraction received by dividing the ex-price of a security by the reference price on the trading day preceding the ex date).
The coefficient enables one to compare prices and calculate the return on securities during periods in which an ex-event occurred.

Adjusted price - Historical Data and Graphs on the TASE website

On the TASE web site, security “Historical Prices” tab (not including the mutual funds), one can view the “Ex” coefficient on the ex-date as well as securities prices adjusted to the coefficient.

 

Security "Charts" Tab - Securities data charts (not including the mutual funds) display the adjusted closing prices. Chart data exports a spread sheet including the adj. price and the closing price.

 

In addition the charts enables the view of "Ex" dates by using the chart's menu > Flags > Ex Dates.

 

 

 

​Once a quarter, companies publish statements presenting their financial situation (including their balance sheet, statement of profit or loss and cash flows), as well as information on the challenges they face and their plans for the future. Once a year, the companies publish a more elaborate and thorough annual report.

It should be noted that small entities that have not issued bonds to the public, are permitted to publish financial statements every six months, and are therefore exempt from publishing financial statements for the first quarter and the third quarter of every calendar year. Those entities may also choose to publish financial statements in the first and the third quarters. Information concerning the frequency of reporting is available on the “Company Details” page, which specifies whether the company has elected to utilize the exemption and therefore publishes semi-annual financial statements in the format applicable to an exempt small entity.
